COALMINER "CREW" - 14pc set of grainy, sedimented halpans
COALMINER is a dark brown - actually it's black sand with an odd ochre greenish hint of an undertone - an exceptionally pronounced soot-like black sediment, very dramatic, very granulated. As a paint, it is very particular - much like Caput Mortuum, but not quite as grainy. You have to know what you are getting, otherwise, the strangeness of this paint might disappoint you - it is more like an effect than paint, the opposite of creamy. Personally, I use it to draw maps that look like they spent a century under the ocean :D
Following the positive responses of Coalminer's family, here are some more members of the crew, some new elements to his magical life:
FOURTEEN NEW variations:
COALMINER'S NIGHT - calm dark blue undertone
COALMINER'S STORM - rather indigo gray-blue undertone, like a very dark cloud
COALMINER'S OCEAN - deep dark blue undertone
COALMINER'S SUNSET - fiery red-orange undertone
COALMINER'S FIREWOOD - brownish red undertone
COALMINER'S SNOW - dirty snow, as if he washed his hands with it
COALMINER'S MEADOW - dark emerald green undertone
COALMINER'S FOREST - darker, duller green undertone
COALMINER'S GRASSY KNOLL - darker grass green undertone
COALMINER'S BROTHER - difficult to describe, not really gray, kind of dirty, but not dull
COALMINER'S OTHER DAUGHTER - another orange version of C.'s Daughter, wee darker
COALMINER'S GRASS -brighter grass green undertone
COALMINER'S OTHER SISTER - violet undertone
COALMINER'S LOVE LETTER - bordot red undertone
